Rate formula and source
Standard USD/GB = deployer pool HNT ÷ weighted rewardable GB × HNT/USD. Tier 3 = 1×, Tier 2 = 1.5×, Tier 1 = 5×, subject to granted eligibility. The network denominator stays fixed in these comparisons. AT&T volume eligibility is a separate input and is applied only once.
This reproduces the epoch valuation method in the source calculator. It is a network reward proxy used for AT&T projections, not an independently verified AT&T settlement feed. Live pricing revalues recorded HNT; it does not predict today's reward pool, guarantee a carrier floor, or alter past payouts. Annual projections hold the selected rate constant.
Market source: CoinGecko. Quotes older than five minutes pause live earnings until refreshed. Future carrier factors remain unconfirmed assumptions.

Carrier coverage
100% connection assumed for eligible subscribers in range. AT&T defaults to 35% of visitors; the remaining 65% is split equally for planning.

AP capacity is a planning assumption: APs × active devices × operating minutes × data usage. Additional APs help until traffic demand is met. Placement and backhaul can still limit results. Unknown AP count assumes sufficient capacity.
1.00 assumes the same settlement as AT&T. Future carrier pricing is unconfirmed; each carrier is calculated separately. Demographic shares must total 100% or less.

Model notes & researchHow this projection works
Foot traffic × in-range share × dwell × handset usage, plus staff and adjacent usage, estimates demand. Carrier reach and optional AP capacity then determine offloaded data. All dollar outputs are your location's earnings after Hudson House's commercial terms.
The base model uses 30.4 days per month. Event venues use attendance and events, hotels use occupied guest-nights plus day visitors, and seasonal locations use active months. Monthly output is annual earnings divided by 12.
Preset foot traffic and dwell are illustrative planning inputs from Hudson House's proposal model, not measured averages for every venue type. New school, salon, laundromat, mall and station presets are explicit modeling assumptions.
The sensitivity range varies traffic only; it is not a statistical confidence interval or a guaranteed minimum. Extra carrier rates are assumptions, not offers.
Venue tier guide
Tier 1: Major airports and transit hubs, stadiums, arenas and large entertainment venues.
Tier 2: Dense commercial environments: casinos, resorts, regional malls, big box clusters, mid-sized transit, comparable hotels and healthcare. University and college presets use provisional Tier 2 from the supplied model.
Tier 3: Other non-residential commercial locations, including restaurants, small retail, offices and standalone big box stores. K–12 schools start at Tier 3; scale alone does not confirm Tier 2.
Tier 1 and 2 outcomes are modeled extrapolations. Public attendance and enrollment statistics do not establish carrier eligibility.
What the case studies tell us
Hudson House's September 1–9, 2026 study covers 418 earning locations and 420 access points. Its GB figures are already AT&T offload traffic. We use those volumes, not its historical dollar payouts, and reprice them using the selected epoch value, tier multiplier and partner terms.
Samples are dominated by restaurants. Other categories have as few as one location, and nine days do not capture a full seasonal cycle. The source does not include matching visitor counts or dwell times, so it cannot identify a reliable traffic calibration or AP uplift.
The observed-median mode holds measured volume fixed. Foot traffic mode remains a separate estimate; use the comparison to decide whether a pilot or measured Wi-Fi data is needed.

K–12 schools: use the school's own attendance and phone-access policy, not total enrollment as connected traffic. No verified school-specific footfall source is built into the preset. Colleges follow the campus approach above.
